APMR is now AOSMI

APMR is now AOSMI – Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute! AOSMI has 2 central New Jersey locations with 13 board certified specialists, 8 of which are fellowship trained, providing a full spectrum of Musculoskeletal care. This is an exciting time as we can now provide you with an expanded network of clinical resources and access to world class providers. We are maintaining our existing locations and our same great staff but now under the enhanced banner of AOMSI. We look forward to the opportunity to continue to create a best-in-class patient experience without sacrificing the quality one on one care that you have become accustomed to.

Established in 2007, AOSMI is the result of a merger between Western Monmouth Orthopedic Associates and New Jersey Orthopedic Associates, two of the Freehold area’s longest-tenured medical groups. Over the last 25 years, each has earned a stellar reputation throughout their community as a true leader in the practice of orthopedics and sports medicine.

Why the change?

After many years Dan Reizis, APMR’s former owner has decided to retire. Rest assured that we will continue to offer you The Finest in Healthcare. Our superb clinical and administrative staff remain here to serve you and will be under the medical direction of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute (AOSMI), based out of Freehold New Jersey.

What does this mean for my treatment?

Your clinical care will not change! In fact, with regards to the relationship between you and your therapist, you will not notice a difference. You will see the same familiar faces and receive the same treatment that many of you have become accustomed to throughout your care!

I really like the staff; is this transition good for them?

We are confident that being part of a larger multi-disciplinary organization will afford our staff the opportunity to grow professionally, become better clinicians and to be rewarded appropriately for their valuable work. We understand that a unique, quality clinical experience for all our patients MUST start with great staff who are supported by management!

Does this change the relationship that I have with the doctor who referred me?

Absolutely not! Our therapists remain accountable to YOUR physician regarding YOUR care. The relationship that they are so privileged to enjoy with your physician remains second ONLY to the relationship to you, the patient!

How does this affect my insurance and financial responsibility?

With Horizon, Aetna or Qualcare, we will now be IN NETWORK. This is a tremendous opportunity that we did not have in the past, so spread the word and tell your friends and family! As you know, your carrier determines your financial responsibility. All plans have certain restrictions and there may be some new processes for us, like obtaining prior authorization. With regards to plan specifics, we will re-verify your insurance as we always do in the New Year to let you know your exact financial responsibility and other requirements.

What else can I expect?

There will be a period where we are changing logos, signage, uniforms etc. Please excuse our appearance during this time. While you may need to do some additional paperwork in the transition, we will do everything we can to minimize the inconvenience. You may also notice minor changes to existing forms, contact numbers and email addresses. We will do our best to prepare you in advance for any specific changes so be on the lookout for future communications from our team.

What does the future look like?

This is an exciting time for our staff, and we will be glad to provide you with an expanded network of clinical resources. We look forward to the opportunity to continue to create a best-in-class patient experience at our locations without sacrificing the quality one on one care that you have become accustomed to. And at some of our locations you may notice that we will continue to build our PTAcupuncture model into a true multi-disciplinary experience by adding other services afforded us under the larger AOSMI umbrella.

Who can I contact with questions?

Please bring any of your questions or concerns to your provider or the front desk. If they cannot answer your question, then a member of the management team will contact you promptly.
