Afraid of Falling? Be Proactive with Physical Therapy.

The prognosis is very poor after a fall especially in people over the age of 65. Without surprise the incidence of falls increases drastically as we age due to several specific factors including decline in strength, vision, vestibular function (more on this later), and touch sensation. This is why falls risk assessment, prevention, and maintenance is of utmost importance. Move Forward PT provides us with a great summary for the patient and the clinician. Please give it a read by clicking here or the link below, and if you or someone you know is having difficulty with their strength or balance please educate them to be proactive in preventing a fall!
