Hitomi Asano, L.Ac
Acupuncturist
Hitomi Asano, L.Ac, is a NCCAOM board certified acupuncturist that joined AOSMI in April 2019.
Hitomi completed her undergraduate studies at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine with a B.S. in Health Promotions Disease Prevention Studies. Upon graduating from USC, she was a pre-med intern at St Francis Medical Center, but found herself disheartened by Western Medicine’s prescription-based approach. As a result, Hitomi chose to focus on prevention and health and wellness and to pursue a degree in Oriental Medicine. It was then that she began her Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA.
During her 4 years at Emperor’s College, Hitomi studied under Dr J.H. Kim to specialize in a unique Korean style of acupuncture- that corrects the imbalances in the Yin and Yang energies of the body. Since then, she has been incorporating Korean, Master Tung, and TCM style to treat her patients.
