Michelle Davis, PT, DPT
Michelle Davis is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Biological Science at Rutgers University, Cook College before attending graduate school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in May of 2009. Michelle has always had a passion for working with people in effort to improve their functional independence and quality of life. Upon first graduating, she began her career in a privately-owned outpatient physical therapy practice with focus on improving individuals with spinal disorders and sports-related injuries. In 2012, she decided to enhance her expertise and knowledge and relocated to a rehabilitation facility in which she worked with individuals recently discharged from the hospital post-surgery, illness and/or injury. As much as Michelle enjoyed this population, she felt that the care she observed her patients receiving was not specifically tailored to their needs. To help advance and progress the physical therapy field and to help mentor her colleagues to improve customized care, Michelle became a manager for a continuing care retirement community in which she was responsible for the oversight and treatment of individuals ranging from immediate post hospitalization care to independent living, but with chronic pain and/or balance impairments. Upon satisfactorily meeting this personal challenge, Michelle began to miss her ability to be a full-time treating therapist and has since returned to outpatient care to resume her passion. Michelle strives to motivate and encourage her patients to maximize their functional performance to achieve greatness. When she is not at work, you can find her cuddling with her 4-year-old daughter, Hailey, who is truly the joy of her life.
