I read through some of the past success stories and repeatedly saw words including: compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, supportive. I could not agree more as I too was struck by the professionalism, kindness, sincerity and high quality of care offered by all the doctors, therapists and staff I met at AOSMI.
I had been in a bike accident in Bermuda and received seven stitches in my ankle and one in my hand the day before I flew home. I found AOSMI while looking for an acupuncturist in the area and ended up seeing Moises three times during the week following the accident. I could not have asked for more in terms of the care he provided and the way my ankle progressed – the swelling decreased significantly and my range of motion improved with each treatment. In addition, when I told Moises I was concerned about a bone fracture he immediately asked one of the PT’s to look at the ankle to help determine if I needed X-rays. It was really nice to be in an environment where I could benefit from the expertise of more than one type of health care professional.
I saw Dr. Mauriello twice during the week as well. He removed my stitches, answered all of my questions, and referred me to a doctor I could follow-up with back home. He was truly generous with his time, which I am grateful for. With both he and Moises, I felt that I was working with people I could fully trust to help me heal.
Lastly, I would also like to comment on the wonderful office staff. I was unable to use crutches because of the damage to my hand so I needed A LOT of help getting around the office, and to and from the car. Everyone was so quick to lend me a hand. It was freezing cold with some snow during my first office visit and pouring rain during the second, but it didn’t matter – no one hesitated to go out in the cold and rain to help me!
