Towards the end of last summer I injured my back at work. Being young, dumb, and indestructible, I thought Tylenol would do the trick, and soon felt better. As time passed, I started getting random pains in my hamstring. It continued to worsen to the point where the pain was more frequent, it hurt to walk, and my toe touch was more of a pray I can reach my knees touch. I was referred to Advanced PMR through a friend, and started working with Luke back in December. He quickly diagnosed the problem as stemming from my back injury. We were expecting a 6-8 week recovery time, but with help from Luke, Dalton, George, and acupuncture from Moe, I honestly felt better after the first few weeks. Once cleared, we worked on preventative workouts to ensure this doesn’t happen again. I no longer have pain in my leg, can touch my toes, and can resume normal life. I highly recommend using Advanced PMR in Lake Como, the staff is knowledgeable, very friendly, and dedicated to making you feel better!
I have suffered for 10 years with vertigo never knowing when my vision would spin out of control. I can now say I no longer suffer from vertigo due to the knowledge of my physical therapist Dr. Dalton Gilligan who in four visits moved the crystals causing vertigo. I am no longer afraid to lie down and get up.
Advanced PMR in Red Bank has demonstrated a level of professionalism that has made my recovery from a fractured metatarsal surgery successful. A special shout to Dr. Rob, Teresa, and Joe for their compassionate pushing me to make me do better and Dr Michel for his gentle touch. Also special praise to the front desk staff–Roz and Brittanny for their friendly smiles every day.
Advanced Physical Medicine in Lake Como, NJ, and specifically Dalton Gilligan, DPT, are phenomenal professionals that have effectively fixed a serious sciatica problem in my legs. Not only did Dr Gilligan show me how to eliminate the problem, he educated me on preventing it in the future. Hat’s off to all the people at this amazing place.
Thanks for the help you guys have been to me.
Having never been to physical therapy before I did not know what to expect but my experience has exceeded all possible scenarios in a most positive way.
Dr Rob offered great comfort and reassurance from day one. His talent, knowledge and professional demeanor is to be recognized as deserving highest praise. I actually look forward to my sessions as painful as they may be. But the progress I have made in such short time is directly attributable to Dr Rob.
The front desk is always welcoming and accommodating to the schedule changes, etc.
I wanted to write and thank you and the team for such a great experience in your Lake Como office. It was my first time with physical therapy and I am clearly a “believer” now in the process. You all make the atmosphere very comfortable, professional, combined with some spirited fun that helped me so much. I felt that you really listened to me and what I was feeling each time I was there. You reacted to where I felt discomfort and tried different ways to make it better. You gave me the confidence to continue with the exercises at home so that I can experience the long term benefits. The healing process went very quickly and I was almost sad to leave! Thank you again for all of your help and what you taught me.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for everything everyone at APMR has done for me in the last 6+ months.
To John and Beth, Thank you for all of your help and and for the extras you both did to make everything easier. John, you were always on the ball from day one confirming my first ever appointment and relaying the message to James about how scared I was. You helped make me feel very confident and comfortable from that day forward. Beth, always helpful with every single detail and the prettiest person in the whole office (sorry George). George (Boy George), thank you for your support, your humor and for letting me mess up your closet and still liking me anyway. To Dan, Lukas and Dalton, thank you all for your hard work. I will always appreciate the passion you all have for what you do and although you’re all as young as my oldest son, your combined experience, knowledge and abilities let me know that I had chosen the right place for physical therapy. My passion for the last 35 years has been the in hair industry. And on Friday, I had my very first client in over 7 months. She was thrilled about her new look and I was even more thrilled that I could physically DO IT!! Thank you all for that. And if I feel I need continued sessions to strengthen me further, I would most definitely return in a heartbeat. Thank you all again and I promise to see you soon.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I want to thank Luke for diagnosing the cause of my back pain and developing a therapy program to heal me. Thanks also to Rob, Dalton, and George for working with me and providing an encouraging, pleasant, and fun atmosphere. I am now able to walk and play golf without pain!
Dear Dalton And Lukas,
I’m thrilled with my rehab success. I appreciate your one-on-one focus on me, knowledge and creativity in designing my program, and ongoing support and encouragement in each session. As a result, both my newly injured knee and old knee are in better shape than ever. I’m ready to snowshoe and cross country ski and return to yoga. Thank you!
I also want to give a shout out to George, Beth and Jon for their help; the whole Advanced PMR is team is great to work with. You can be sure I’ll recommend you to anyone needing Physical Therapy.
I read through some of the past success stories and repeatedly saw words including: compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, supportive. I could not agree more as I too was struck by the professionalism, kindness, sincerity and high quality of care offered by all the doctors, therapists and staff I met at Advanced PMR.
I had been in a bike accident in Bermuda and received seven stitches in my ankle and one in my hand the day before I flew home. I found Advanced PMR while looking for an acupuncturist in the area and ended up seeing Moises three times during the week following the accident. I could not have asked for more in terms of the care he provided and the way my ankle progressed – the swelling decreased significantly and my range of motion improved with each treatment. In addition, when I told Moises I was concerned about a bone fracture he immediately asked one of the PT’s to look at the ankle to help determine if I needed X-rays. It was really nice to be in an environment where I could benefit from the expertise of more than one type of health care professional.
I saw Dr. Mauriello twice during the week as well. He removed my stitches, answered all of my questions, and referred me to a doctor I could follow-up with back home. He was truly generous with his time, which I am grateful for. With both he and Moises, I felt that I was working with people I could fully trust to help me heal.
Lastly, I would also like to comment on the wonderful office staff. I was unable to use crutches because of the damage to my hand so I needed A LOT of help getting around the office, and to and from the car. Everyone was so quick to lend me a hand. It was freezing cold with some snow during my first office visit and pouring rain during the second, but it didn’t matter – no one hesitated to go out in the cold and rain to help me!
Thank you all for your kindness and care!
